|Spirit of FAPSC Medallion|
CRITERIAThe Spirit of FAPSC award was designed as special recognition for activity that epitomizes the concept of the “FAPSC cap”—stepping beyond one’s own individual, school or professional interest for the interest of the sector.
Nominations for the award can be submitted by anyone who observes or knows of the activity. The Nomination form can be found below. Upon completion, they will be submitted to the selection committee.
SELECTION COMMITTEEThe selection committee is made up of the FAPSC members of the year, both school member(s) and associate member(s) and the immediate Past President of the board.
The committee will review nominations bi-monthly with awards being announced and presented at the next board meeting. Recipients will be notified prior to the board meeting in the hope that they will be in attendance to receive their award. Should a recipient not be able to be present at a board meeting, the award will be delivered in an alternative way either by a member of the committee, a FAPSC Board Member, someone in an Administrative capacity at the recipient’s school/company or FAPSC staff. In all instances, a ceremony of some kind is encouraged as the recipients deserve recognition among their peers.
ELIGIBILITYAnyone meeting the above criteria, regardless of position, from any of the following categories:
• FAPSC School member
• FAPSC Associate member
• FAPSC Professional member
• State Legislature
• Employers providing externship experience or hiring sector graduates who go beyond reasonable expectations in their support of our students and the sector
• Others, deemed by the committee, upon review of the nomination, and with the approval of the board, to have earned the award
