 FAPSC Honors the Best Among Career Colleges in Florida During 2011

Thirteen awards were presented during the FAPSC Annual Conference in South Florida attended by more than 460 administrators and 325 faculty members. The recipients:



Sadie Fox of Miami was named Graduate of the Year for outstanding achievement and overcoming hardship in pursuit of a career. Fox is a graduate of Everest Institute, Kendall Campus.

Full Sail University in Winter Park was named FAPSC School of the Year.

Isis Jones of Full Sail University in Winter Park was named Administration & Management Administrator of the Year.

William Mather of  Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Orlando received the Education Administrator of the Year award.

Glenda Downs of Concorde Career Institute in Tampa took home the Rickie Knobel Financial Aid Administrator of the Year award.

Christina Stewart of Everest University in Tampa received the Gail Benjamin Student Services Administrator of the Year award.

Lauren Page of Florida Career College in West Palm Beach was named the Admissions Administrator of the Year.

Kathleen Baretela of Florida Career College in West Palm Beach was named the Career Services Administrator of the Year.

Katrena Newton of American Institute in Margate, an instructor in cosmetology, was named Faculty Member of the Year at a non degree-granting institution.

Jeff Walters of Anthem College in Orlando, an instructor in the school’s X-ray program, was named Faculty Member of the Year at a degree-granting institution.

Linda Weldon of Ultimate Medical Academy in Tampa was named the FAPSC Member of the Year for dedication in furthering the career college sector.

Angela Beauregard of MDT Direct was named the FAPSC Associate Member of the Year.

Al McCloy of Career Path Training Corp. in Tampa was the recipient of the Jack H. Jones Lifetime Achievement Award for leadership and contributions to the career college sector.
