FAPSC Recognizes High Achievement and Excellence Among Florida Career Colleges, Students, Administrators, Faculty and Members
Awards were presented during the FAPSC 2014 Annual Conference held at the Turnberry Isle Miami (July 30 - August 1).
Harmony Jones (not pictured), is a military veteran with a passion for learning, and was recognized for her outstanding civic contributions and educational success as Graduate of the Year. Harmony is a graduate of Full Sail University.
Full Sail University, a leader in providing degree programs in the fields of entertainment and media, received the top honor of being named FAPSC 2014 School of the Year.
Dr. Barbara Rodriguez, Florida National University, was awarded the Education Administrator of the Year Award in recognition of her high ethical standards and professional commitment to her campus and students.
Maria Goodspeed (not pictured), Fortis Institute - Pensacola, was recognized with the Gail Benjamin Student Service Administrator Award for her superb service to students and innovation in the campus Learning Resource Center.
Omar Escarpio, Florida National University - Hialeah, received recognition as FAPSC 2014 Faculty Member of the Year for his excellent track record in student placement in the competitive field of respiratory therapy.
Members of the Year
Justin Berkowitz, Daytona College, was honored as FAPSC 2014 Member of the Year in acknowledgment of his tireless advocacy work on behalf of our sector and its students and volunteerism and remarkable leadership on many FAPSC committees.
Mitch Talenfeld, MDT Marketing, received the accolade of FAPSC 2014 Associate Member of the Year in recognition of his advocacy on behalf of private career education and his dedication to promoting student success.
