DR. ARTHUR KEISER
Share |

Art Keiser began his career in higher education in 1977 when, along with his mother, Evelyn Keiser, they founded what is now Keiser University with just one student in the first class. Today there are 26 campuses in the southeastern US, Nicaragua and China and learning centers in Taiwan, and Moldova and 20,000+ students.

Dr. Keiser has served the higher education industry in various capacities for nearly 40 years. He is currently serving his second term on the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI). He also served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of APSCU and remains on that board (CECU).

He was appointed by the governor to both the State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities and the State Board of Independent Postsecondary, Vocational, Technical, Trade and Business Schools. He served as elected chairperson and board member of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT) and is an active, past president of FAPSC.

Dr. Keiser has been a tireless leader for students, given numerous presentations, and published many articles and reports on various subjects relating to the private career schools and not-for-profit sectors. He has consistently made himself, his facilities, his staff, and his faculty available to FAPSC in support of the sharing of knowledge, ideas, and practices with sector members at conferences and workshops.

He and his family have set the example that community service is a responsibility, supporting the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, March of Dimes Foundation, Legal Aid Services of Broward County, the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation and many, many more. In recognition of their service and sacrifice, the Keiser community supports active military, veterans and their families including the Wounded Warrior Project, and other local veterans’ initiatives.

Dr. Keiser serves as chancellor and CEO of Keiser University and chairman of the board of Southeastern College (formerly Keiser Career College).
