1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Discussion with CIE

Member Rate: $25 per person
Non-member Rate: $50 per person

Spotlight on our Operations Facilitators

Donald C. Jones, CEO – Compass Rose Foundation
Representing the third generation in his family’s legacy of postsecondary school governance, Don’s career to student service spans 5 decades. Having Chaired both the Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools as well as Florida’s State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities, he is well equipped to provide his perspective on how today’s oversight climate has evolved. At the operational and management levels, his experiences draw from both nationally as well as regionally accredited institutions; degree and non-degree granting. Don is proud to be a Past-President of the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges.

Gregory H. Jones, President – Compass Rose Foundation

Gregory H. Jones is in his 20th year as a private, postsecondary school executive, having served as President, Southwest Florida College from 1997 to 2009 and currently serving as President, Sunstate College, Inc. with three Florida campuses. He is a former FAPSC President and a former member of the FAPSC Board of Directors. Greg is the current Government Affairs Committee Chair for the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and a member of their speaker’s bureau. He comes with a broad range of school management experience together with associational experiences.

Compass Rose Foundation, Inc. is a 75 year old non-profit organization chartered for the purpose of postsecondary governance. Its’ subsidiary, Sunstate College, Inc., operates Sunstate Academy ( in Fort Myers and Clearwater as well as Jones Technical Institute ( in Jacksonville.
